Paf uses MPN’s new software
Internet gaming software provider Microgaming has confirmed that Finland-based operator Paf has gone live with the MPN’s new downloadable Mac OS software.
Designed by Microgaming, the new Mac client from MPN – previously known as the Microgaming Poker Network – is a software platform that runs in the Adobe Air framework and caters for all player devices.
It has the same functionality as the MPN’s “instant play” client, which allows users to take part in poker Hold’em games, Sit n’ Go games and scheduled tournaments – as well as being able to enjoy the additional benefits of a downloadable client.
Herbert Paradis, head of poker at Paf, said: “We know that our players who have Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for some time, and now that we’ve joined the MPN, we are better able to meet our customers’ needs.”
Lydia Melton, head of network games at Microgaming, added: “Mac users are an important segment, but for years operators have been turning them away because they haven’t had dedicated software. The MPN is one of only a few networks to offer a Mac-specific client and we are excited to see the uptake from players.”
In addition to the Mac option, the MPN also offers a downloadable PC client, web-based Flash client and HTML5 client for mobile and tablet devices.
