Successful lunch for New Jersey online gambling

online game usaThe New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has claimed the first day of a full online gambling service in the US state went by ‘without a single glitch’.

Online gambling went live in New Jersey on Tuesday of this week following an initial five-day trial period in which various gaming and payment systems were tested.

A total of 13 websites on six different platforms went live in the launch day, registering thousands of new players during the day.

Some operators have also reported more than a thousand concurrent players on their websites during certain periods of the day.

During the trial period, a number of problems were reported by players, the most common being geolocation issues where players could not access the online gambling service despite being located within New Jersey’s borders.

The DGE said this was not reported as an issue on launch day.

The organisation claimed the only apparent issue that remains from the trial period is that some US banks are declining credit card deposits due to company policies.
