Sportradar partners with Cricket Australia

Sports and betting-related data company Sportradar has confirmed the Cricket Australia governing body as its latest integrity partner.

Under the partnership, Sportradar will monitor Cricket Australia's domestic competitions the Ryobi Cup, BUPA Sheffield Shield and KFC Big Bash T20 League for signs of betting-related corruption and fraudulent activity.

Sportradar will utilise its Fraud Detection System (FDS) to monitor activity and report findings to the governing body as part of an effort to safeguard the integrity of Australian cricket.

“Cricket Australia takes the threat of betting related match-fixing very seriously and this partnership with Sportradar is the latest step taken to help uphold the integrity of cricket in Australia,” Cricket Australia’s chief executive officer, James Sutherland, said.

Sportradar chief executive officer Carsten Koerl added, “It’s critical in today’s world that sports governing bodies confront the threat of betting related match-fixing and have robust preventative, detection and investigation methods in-place.”
