Skrill Holdings signed a partnership deal with EPT
Online payments solutions provider Skrill Holdings Limited has signed a deal that will see it serve as an official partner for the upcoming tenth season of the European Poker Tour (EPT).
Skrill Holdings, which was known as Moneybookers until rebranding just over two years ago, stated that the agreement to serve as the tournament series’ official payments provider marks the third time it has partnered with the EPT in such a way and ‘serves as a fitting way to support its ongoing worldwide expansion’.
“Skrill is delighted to be working with the EPT as its official payments provider sponsor again,” said Joseph Hall, Leisure and Entertainment Vice-President for Skrill.
“The EPT is a well-respected and established brand and this partnership will help to further strengthen our position as the leading digital wallet among poker players. We are looking forward to attending the events and interacting directly with players throughout the season.”
Skrill declared that it last sponsored the EPT in 2011 while the latest agreement will see its branding appear ‘in and around the tournament area’ while members of its staff are set to offer marketing promotions and assist players during tournaments.
“Skrill has a long and established track record of providing easy, safe and secure payment options and as a result is widely regarded as one of the most popular deposit and withdrawal methods by the online gaming community,” said Edgar Stuchly, President for the EPT.
“We are pleased to be working with them again during [our tenth season].”
