SIS provides its Parx services to Paddy Power
Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has confirmed it is to become the first gambling firm in the UK to offer the Parx live horseracing stream service from news and sport coverage provider Satellite Information Services (SIS) Betting.
Parx was introduced by SIS earlier this year as part of an upgrade of its SIS+ channel. The service covers racing from Philadelphia Park.
Paddy Power will now offer Parx coverage via its website, mobile and tablet services.
"Paddy Power racing customers have high expectations and the combination of live streaming and fixed pricing means we can continue to deliver the highest quality product," said a Paddy Power spokesperson.
"We are very impressed with the level of engagement to date from our customers with this content, both online and on mobile. We hope to be able to expand the offering in the near future"
George Irvine, managing director, betting and international, SIS, added: "We're constantly reviewing our services and making additional content available where possible. Increasingly, we want to make that content available across other platforms, too.
"We worked hard to restore racing from North America to our independent customers and we were also able to get agreement to offer Parx coverage as a streaming option to SIS+ customers who wanted to use it online. We're delighted Paddy Power has become the first to take up that option."
SIS has also secured coverage from other tracks as part of its new SIS+ service, including Louisiana, Finger Lakes in New York and Delaware Park.
SIS+ is part of an optional evening service, which also includes horseracing from Latin America (LARC). This is available exclusively every night.
