Optimal Payments’ subsidiary will sponsor the Italian Poker Tour
Online payments processor Optimal Payments has announced that its Neteller subsidiary has signed an agreement that will see it serve as a sponsor for all five legs of this year’s Italian Poker Tour.
The Italian Poker Tour is operated by IPT Service, which is a joint venture between PokerStars and Pagano Group. The new sponsorship deal with Neteller began on Saturday at the initial tournament of the new IPT season in San Marino and is set to run until December.
“We are excited to sponsor a series of events like the Italian Poker Tour and to provide our support,” said Lorenzo Pellegrino, Vice-President for Optimal Payments.
“For many years, Neteller has been offering a system of services able to meet the needs of operators and users in the gaming industry.”
To celebrate the new sponsorship deal, Neteller has unveiled a pair of initiatives aimed at players competing in the Italian Poker Tour. Those already holding an account with the online payments processor can win their next buy-in by finishing higher than any other Neteller customer while the main event’s largest ‘bubble’ loser is due to be handed a cheque for €1,000.
“This is a very important agreement, which brings together a valuable global company and the biggest Italian poker tour,” said Luca Pagano, Chief Executive Officer for IPT Service.
“We are honoured that Neteller has chosen the Italian Poker Tour as its partner for Italy as this demonstrates the company’s recognition of our brand’s values and the work we have done over the years.
“At the same time, we are sure that this collaboration will offer players a great advantage for their money transactions thanks to the excellent Neteller payment account and the Net+ Prepaid MasterCard as well various promotions that will be offered at each stage of the Italian Poker Tour.”
