NMi Gaming opens its first office in Vancouver
Gambling compliance testing and auditing company NMi has opened its first office in North America.
The office in Vancouver, Canada, marks the latest expansion for the firm, which traditionally focused on the European market from its Netherlands home, but has since branched out with bases in Italy, the UK and Spain.
Richard d'Souza has been named as managing director of NMi Gaming North America.
“We have seen increasing globalisation of the gaming industry and many of our well established customers have operations on both sides of the Atlantic,” NMi Gaming director Andrew Rosewarne said.
“The Vancouver office will be able to offer local expertise and a convenient time zone for development teams based in the Americas.
“The Vancouver area is a great location for NMi to establish a presence in North America. The combination of high quality local talent and proximity to our existing customers and major gaming markets was very attractive to us. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time here.
“We are delighted to have been able to appoint Richard d'Souza to the post of managing director in North America. Richard has a wealth of experience working in gaming compliance in both Europe and North America and is well known to the industry.
“His knowledge of Information Security will bolster an already strong NMi team and allow us to continue to provide a first class service to our customers wherever they operate.
“We are confident that if we extend the customer experience here, the trend will continue in North America and Richard and his team will grow in the same way as our other operations.”
