Jumbo Interactive provides programmes to Hess Corporation and Tops Friendly Markets
Australian interactive lottery firm Jumbo Interactive Limited has made further moves into the American market after signing deals that will see it provide two leading retailers with lottery promotion programmes.
The agreements signed by its Lotto Points Plus joint venture, which was established in late-November in partnership with Retail Gaming Solutions LLC, will see convenience store operator Hess Corporation and supermarket chain Tops Friendly Markets provided with programmes encompassing an interactive lottery rewards system combined with physical fixture enhancements designed to increase sales of tickets at sites across the United States.
“Jumbo Interactive is providing valuable solutions to physical retailers in the United States wishing to boost in-store lottery sales using the Internet as a complementary tool,” said Mike Veverka, Chief Executive Officer for Brisbane-based Jumbo Interactive.
“Our successful pilot programme across ten Hess Express stores has increased lottery sales by an average of 38 percent using the Jumbo/Retail Gaming Solutions programme. This will now be followed up with a rollout to over 800 Hess locations.
“We are also about to launch another pilot programme across seven Tops Friendly Markets locations with the aim of rolling out the programme to its entire 159-store network across New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.”
Listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, Jumbo Interactive signed a long-term deal late last year that saw it become an official online and mobile retailer for Mexico’s Loteria Nacional and Pronosticos products while additionally acquiring six percent of lottery systems and games provider Sorteo Games Incorporated’s issued shares.
