Glu Mobile’s Chief Technology Officer steps down

Smartphone and tablet games developer and publisher Glu Mobile Incorporated has announced that Kal Iyer will be standing down from his post as its Chief Technology Officer next month in order to ‘pursue another senior management position with a large media company’.

San Francisco-based Glu Mobile launched its first real-money mobile slot in partnership with specialist gambling software provider Probability in March and revealed that Iyer joined its ranks over a decade ago from Pumatech International where he had helped build mobile browsing infrastructures.

In a brief statement, Glu Mobile declared that Iyer, who holds a degree in mathematics from Jabalpur University in India and previously also consulted for several Fortune 500 companies, will officially leave June 19.

“The company thanks Kal Iyer for his more than ten years of service to the company and wishes him success in his future endeavours,” read the statement from Glu Mobile.
