Gloucester Rugby partners with TBS to launch

English rugby union club Gloucester Rugby has struck a partnership with The Betting Service (TBS) to launch a bespoke betting website through the latter’s MyClubBetting online betting service.

The MyClubBetting tailored service provides clubs at all level with a fully customised betting website free of charge.

The new website will feature Gloucester rugby club colours, logos and social media links to integrate with existing websites.

The TBS service will also allow Gloucester Rugby to take a significant percentage of any profits made, as well as make use of marketing materials to spread the word about the new platform.

“We believe it's a great solution for supporters who like to bet online and the beauty of it is that the club receives a percentage of the profits, which we can reinvest into our club and community projects,” Gloucester Rugby’s commercial manager, Mike Turner, said.

TBS chief executive officer Marcus Barrett added: “We are proud to become Gloucester Rugby's official betting partner. The Cherry and Whites are synonymous with excellence and it is great that they are the first rugby union club to take advantage of our service, so dovetailing with such a dynamic and forward-thinking club makes perfect sense for us.”

The news comes shortly after TBS also agreed a deal to become the official betting and gaming partner of the Rugby League World Cup 2013 national team tournament, as reported by iGaming Business.
