Geiss and Koerl to replace Jacken and Santana at mybet
Online gambling and betting provider mybet Holding SE has announced that Rainer Jacken will next month follow Rodolfo Carpintier Santana in resigning as a member of its supervisory and management boards.
Formerly known as Jaxx SE, mybet Holding stated that past Tipp24 executive Marcus Geiss and previous Bwin director Carsten Koerl have been nominated to replace Jacken and Santana and will have their appointments put to a vote at the next meeting of its shareholders on July 18.
“I will be maintaining my association with mybet,” said Jacken.
“In recent months my personal and professional paths have taken a different direction, which I would now like to pursue concertedly.”
Jacken helped to establish the Kiel-based Designgruppe Transparent advertising agency that ultimately evolved into mybet Holding via intermediate guises as Fluxx.com Aktiengesellschaft, Fluxx AG and Jaxx AG. The German firm stated that Jacken was a ‘driving force’ behind the development of the first Internet lottery platforms in Germany with the firm launching that nation’s first in 1998.
“As well as being the father of mybet, Rainer Jacken is one of the pioneers of online gambling in Germany,” said Antje Stoltenberg, Supervisory Board Chairman for mybet Holding.
“We thank him for his unwavering commitment and the energy that he has put into mybet Holding and online gaming. We will maintain our association with him as both a partner and a friend and wish him every success in his new venture.”
