William Hill added further 3 years to its sponsorship deal with Ayr Gold Cup Festival

UK bookmaker William Hill has agreed a three-year extension to its sponsorship of the Ayr Gold Cup Festival horseracing event until September 2016.

The bookmaker will retain full naming rights to the three-day fixture under the terms of the deal.

In addition, the firm will also continue its sponsorship of the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, Silver and Bronze Cups, Doonside Cup, Ayrshire Handicap and Kilkerran Cup.

William Hill is a long-term supporter of the Festival, having sponsored the annual event since 2009.

“By signing this three-year extension both parties can look forward to continuing to work together to maintain and increase the profile of this marvellous three days of racing which is without doubt one of the highlights of the flat season in the UK,” Ayr’s chairman, Alan Macdonald, said.

Jennie Prest, William Hill’s sponsorship and PR manager, added: “We are delighted to be renewing our sponsorship of the Gold Cup Festival once again, and to be continuing our now long-standing relationship with the team at Ayr Racecourse.

“Year-on-year the meeting is popular with both the punters, who love the challenge of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Cups and the racegoers.”
