Dafabet.com will sponsor Aston Villa’s shirts
English Premier League soccer team Aston Villa has signed a two-year deal that will see Asia-facing online sportsbook and gaming site Dafabet.com serve as its official shirt sponsor.
The agreement will see Dafabet.com replace Genting Casinos on the club’s home and away shirts while the operator is to additionally enjoy a ‘host of sponsorship benefits’.
“The [English] Premier League is second to none in the world of football,” said John Cruces, Head of Sponsorships for Dafabet.com.
“Simply speaking, it’s the most exciting and recognised league in the world. To be associated with one of the oldest and most successful clubs in England will help us achieve our aim of making Dafabet.com a household name not just in Asia where the majority of our players are currently from but worldwide.”
Established in 1874, Aston Villa has seven domestic titles and FA Cups to its name along with the 1981/82 European Cup and was one of the 22 founding members of the English Premier League in 1992. Despite finishing second behind Manchester United in the inaugural 1992/93 English Premier League season, the Birmingham-based team’s last major trophy came in 1996 when it defeated Leeds United to lift the League Cup.
“We’re pleased to announce our partnership with Dafabet.com,” said Paul Faulkner, Chief Executive Officer for Aston Villa.
“There is a real sense of excitement, anticipation and optimism as we look forward to the new season, building on the solid foundations we have in place. This will be a good and positive partnership for the club and we look forward to working together with Dafabet.com as we continue to build and move the club forward.
“Crucially for us, during negotiations Dafabet.com displayed a strong willingness to work with us in our continued support for Acorns [Children’s Hospice] and we look forward to progressing some ideas around that in the near future.”
