Crystal Palace and 12BET signed an agreement
Online betting company 12BET has signed up as the new stadium sponsor and official betting partner of English Premier League club Crystal Palace.
The deal will run for the duration of the 2013-14 season.
Precise terms of the contract were not disclosed, but it is reported that 12BET will not have naming rights to the 26,300-seat Selhurst Park, which has been the South London club’s home since 1924 and is where Palace kicked off the new season with a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
“We are delighted to be the first company in our sector to pull off a stadium sponsorship deal in the Premier League,” 12BET chief executive officer Rory Anderson said.
“12BET are an in-play football betting specialist, so to have a Premier League stadium associated with our brand is a real coup for us.”
Palace chairman Steve Parish added: “As the club returns to the Premier League, there is great excitement at what can be achieved on and off the pitch and on behalf of our owners I have great pleasure in welcoming our first ever stadium sponsor to our corporate family.”
