Clarion and RMG appoint new directors
Gaming industry events organiser Clarion Events and the umbrella organisation for the UK's 33 racecourses, Racecourse Media Group (RMG), have both announced directorial appointments.
Clarion has appointed Jo Mayer as marketing director for various gaming industry events, while Adam Binns has been named director of broadcast and production at RMG.
Mayer will be responsible for the marketing activities of brands such as ICE Totally Gaming, ICE Conferences, EiG, GiGse, BgC, WrB and the new Corporate Intelligence (Ci) division. She will report to portfolio director Kate Chambers.
“My aim is to consolidate our undoubted strengths in the market, harness the power of digital and social media and work closely with all of our many stakeholders in order to confirm Clarion’s status as the gaming event organiser of choice,” Mayer said.
Meanwhile, Adam Binns will assume his new position as director of broadcast and production at RMG on January 1, 2014.
Binns will make the move to RMG from digital sports media company Perform.
He has also worked in various production and commercial roles for the likes of UK pay-television broadcaster Sky Sports, TWI (now the IMG Media agency) and the Volvo Ocean Race international sailing event.
“There is a great broadcast and production team in place at RMG, backed by excellent technical resources,” Binns said.
“I am very excited about realising their full potential, growing revenues and engaging a wider audience on more platforms than ever before.”
