Chinese market welcomes Playscan

playscanOnline gambling player protection software developer Playscan AB has signed deals with Swedish firm Northberry AB and FuSheng Interactive in Hong Kong that will see its solution launched into the Chinese market.

Playscan was purchased by Swedish gambling monopoly Svenska Spel in 2010 and offers operators a way for their players to monitor gambling behaviours by analysing actual gameplay.

“The matter of consumer protection is both being prioritised and highlighted around the world,” said Andreas Holmstrom, Chief Executive Officer for Playscan.

“We can now operate successfully on a global scale with our solution that creates awareness about problematic gambling.

“With changes in the gaming regulation this year, the Chinese government is now taking a stronger stance on the prevention of problematic gambling. Therefore, Playscan is honoured to be identified as the world’s leader in preventive responsible gambling solutions within this market.”

Gothenburg-based Playscan stated that its solution provides operators and players with ‘invaluable information to proactively prevent problematic gambling’ and is already utilised by several leading iGaming operators including Norsk Tipping and Raha-Automaattiyhdistys (RAY).
