Caldwell becomes Vice-President at GTECH
Global lottery and gaming giant GTECH SpA has announced the promotion of Christopher Caldwell to the post of Latin America and Caribbean Senior Vice-President.
Previously known as Gruppo Lottomatica SpA, GTECH revealed that Caldwell is to report directly to Jaymin Patel, President and Chief Executive Officer for GTECH Americas, and will be responsible for leading the company’s operations and pursuing new business opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
GTECH stated that Caldwell joined GTECH in 1995 and is also charged with offering lottery, gaming machine, systems, sportsbetting and interactive products to customers throughout the Caribbean and Latin America while additionally ensuring the ‘successful execution’ of the firm’s ‘various private operator contracts’ including those in Colombia and Costa Rica and with Antilles Lotteries.
Rome-based GTECH declared that its former Business Development Vice-President will also lead operations that ‘offer a diverse portfolio of products and services such as bill payments, cellular phone top-ups, money transfers and government payments’ for the region.
Before joining GTECH, Caldwell worked as International Product Development Group Finance Manager for Lotus Development Corporation and also served as a finance analyst with Computer Vision.
“Chris will play an important role in leading GTECH’s business strategies in the Latin America and Caribbean region,” said Patel.
“His expertise in business development, finance and knowledge of foreign affairs give him the breadth of experience needed to take on the additional challenges and responsibilities of this new position.”
