Bodog agreed a deal with RUFF

Online gaming website Bodog has expanded its sponsorship portfolio in Asia by agreeing a deal with the Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation (RUFF) to become the exclusive online gaming partner of its Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event.

RUFF 10 will take place at the Shanghai Hongkou Indoor Coliseum in China on August 24, and will also be broadcast on nine television channels across the country. RUFF is the only sanctioned MMA organisation in China.

Bodog already has an association with MMA, having supported the sport in its infancy and through later investment in its own BodogFIGHT league.

“It’s great to have the brand back in MMA, especially in Asia,” Bodog marketing director Izhar Biran said.

“We have seen RUFF getting more and more popular and so this event in Shanghai was one we wanted to get involved in. Should this work well, we will look to expand our MMA portfolio once again.”

The news comes shortly after Bodog also agreed to become the official Asian betting partner of English Premier League football club Arsenal. Bodog also recently sponsored the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship basketball event.
