Acquisition of Tom Flood Bookmakers by Boylesports
Irish independent bookmaker Boylesports has agreed a deal to purchase rival Tom Flood Bookmakers as part of a move to strengthen its presence in the country.
The Irish Times newspaper reports that although Boylesports did not disclose the purchase price, it did confirm the takeover would represent a total investment of €3 million ($4.1 million).
The deal includes the purchase and fit-out of Tom Flood’s seven-shop chain with outlets in Dublin, Meath and Wicklow.
Boylesports said it intends on retaining all seven outlets and Tom Flood’s 39 staff.
The purchase will take Boylesports’ total number of shops to 192.
