10-millionth poker hand reached at Ultimate Poker
Nevada-licensed operator Ultimate Poker has dealt its 10-millionth hand of real-money online poker after little over three months of live play.
The company made history on April 30 when it became the first in the US to offer legal online poker.
The historic hand was played at a 25-cent/50-cent no limit hold’em table. Victor “SteveKelly” won $6.85 with an ace high during the hand, as well as an additional $5,000 prize from Ultimate Poker to mark the milestone. Remaining players at the table were also given $500 each for being a part of the landmark moment.
Joe Versaci, chief marketing officer of Ultimate Gaming, said: “It’s incredible to be talking about our 10-millionth hand only three months after opening the doors. It gives us a good opportunity to look back at how far we’ve come and an even better excuse to run a great promotion.”
Ultimate Poker gave away $23,000 during a series of 21 cash prizes in the build up to the 10m milestone, an initiative that began after the nine-millionth hand. Last month, Ultimate Gaming also received final approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission for its real-money poker product in the Silver state.
